About Bradford

Bradford, Pennsylvania, is nestled in a valley in the Allegheny Mountains and has a rich community founded on industry and innovation. Since the 1800s, Bradford has been a center for oil production. Kendall Motor Oil, initially refined in Bradford, is named after Kendal Creek, which runs through parts of this town. Bradford is also the birthplace of the Zippo lighter. After 90 years,Zippo's headquarters, factory, and museum are located in Bradford today.

Even though this rural PA community is the birthplace of iconic brands and industries, small businesses are the backbone of the community. From the quilting supply shop to the gift shop with the beautiful vintage tin ceiling and the boardgame cafe to the goldfish farm, Bradford quite literally has something for everyone. These hardworking people go to work every day and get the opportunity to do what they love, which is evident as soon as you step into their stores.
